Goodwhites in paradise
I’ve often heard Rightist dissidents (RDs) wish some rich person - Somebody Who Matters -would side with them. For a time, Richard Spencer was their fantasy made real. For some, Eeeelon plays that role today. “Look, Eeeelon posted something based on X!” The implication being that Eeeelon is one of us. Riiiight.
Even now I see RDs “wishin’ ‘n’ waitin’ ” for Their Guy Trump to wake up out of his MIGA trance and care about Americans. LOL.
Those RDs cannot see that White elites, in Dr Livci’s words,
aren’t simply cucks and traitors, they are defending their interests and status […T]hey are doing well, why should they side with us broke ass internet revolutionaries? If you are a Nietzschean/Faustian/Promethean this question is especially relevant. For them to side with us would be peak slave mortality because there is absolutely no reason they ought to become peasants in heaven when they can be barons in hell.

Of course in the scheme of things blood, soil, and ethnic kinship are much more tangible than an economic category like class. At least they ought to be. But try telling that to some WASP family whose children are in an ivy league university and whose income is comfortably more than 7 figures every year.
Or even ‘just’ 6 figures every year.
Blood is meaningless to them because they have nuclear families, if they have families at all. For their children, grandparents are near-strangers who live far away, because …
… soil is also meaningless to them because they go where The Jobs are. They are born in one state, go to college in a second state, work in third through nth states, and retire in one last state.
The White American elites I know - both conservative and liberal - are atomized. Bloodless, soilless beings that live for The Jobs that make them ‘superior’ to the Underwhites. Including their own kin. If they have so little interest or respect for their own relatives, why would they care about bigger abstractions like their ethnic group or race? They are mighty atoms. They are … atomic.
And yet they form molecules. A red molecule on one side and a blue molecule on the other. Both hovering over the Underwhites.
Dr Livci was responding to this Note by Yoshi Matsumoto:
Upper class whites hate lower class whites more than anything, as their greatest fear is losing their status and becoming them. Wokeness functions largely as a way to signal that you arent a low class white.
It kind of is class warfare disguised as race warfare.
But obviously conservatives aren’t Woke. I realize now that they have their own ways of signalling they’re not Underwhites. I’ll go into those ways in an article I’ll write about the ‘canon’ and focus on Wokeness here.
Yoshi quoted Rick:
Wokeness to me is, like the linked article [“Chapo Trap House Hyperstitioned Chud the Builder”] suggests, PMC [professional middle class] resentment at the lower class distilled into it’s purest form.
Rick defined Wokeness as
a set of luxury beliefs held by people who larp as proles but enjoy lifestyles your average steel worker or pizza delivery guy could only dream of.
I don’t know about the “larp as proles” part. I did that as a Leftist1, but I don’t know anyone else who does. Larp as caring about proles one moment while disparaging them the next, maybe.
Rick listed eight tenets of Wokeness:
transgenderism
immigration
race
atheism
crime
entertainment
labor
hierarchy
He got me thinking about what happens when the Woke come to Hawaii. A major chunk of our propaganda class consists of Woke ‘expats’. They aren’t expats de jure because Hawaii is obviously a state of the USSA, but Hawaii is de facto a non-American random people zone (RPZ). As such, it should be paradise to the Woke.
Chuds - Underwhites - are almost nonexistent here apart from those on our many military installations who largely keep to themselves. I knew someone in the military stationed here who said they thought Hawaii was just like America. And indeed their Hawaii was, because I didn’t get the impression he left their installation much. It’s easy to live in a bubble when serving.
I don’t hold that against the military. I can’t say I immersed myself with the locals while I was living away from Hawaii.
Consequently I can’t claim that I really understand how any place other than Hawaii works.
I can’t even say I really understand Hawaii, because an RPZ is a multiverse. There are over 130 languages spoken in Hawaii. Nobody can speak them all. Nobody knows what’s going on in those 130+ worlds. Even within the Anglophone world, it’s not as if my conservative military contact understands the Woke and vice versa. You could argue that I understand neither of them, because Christianity and Wokism are equally alien to me.
But not as alien as, say, the Kosraean world. Note the spelling. Not Korean (though we have Koreans here too). The Kosraeans don’t even have their own Wikipedia article! That’s how uninterested the outside world is in them. I never heard of them until the mid-nineties. The average resident has probably never heard of them. The diversity of Hawaii is too much to fully comprehend, though I try. Feebly and only online, because I’m too afraid to go into a Kosraean church.
There are many peoples in Hawaii who are never mentioned in our media which are run by Goodwhites for Goodwhites. The Anglophone propaganda class. A tiny fraction of our population.
They are waaaay more interested in St. George Floyd - not the real man who died but the myth - than Kosraeans or all the other non-Whites around them. We have no signalling value for them. We don’t give them the tinglez like Godrace. Which isn’t actual Black people but Blacks-as-symbols-for-status-games.
Even Godrace in Hawaii doesn’t give them the tinglez. Blacks in Hawaii seem to be doing well. They are either filtered through the military or are that fraction of Blacks who can afford to move here. Black crime is rare, and Black homelessness is even rarer. I think I’ve seen maybe one Black homeless person. And I see the homeless almost every day. Blacks in Hawaii are not the exciting mascots that they are on the Mainland. They are just another people among the hundred-plus here.
That might disappoint Woke transplants. I don’t know any here, so I can only speculate about their worldview based on what I see in our two Pravdas, Honolulu and Hipsta.
Let’s try to see my home through Woke eyes. You believe in the Eight Tenets. You look forward to moving to this RPZ - this model of Final Diversity!™ where you can be a LastWhite among a majoirty with The One Hair Color (mine) and The One Eye Color (mine). Brownness everywhere you look! Ohhhh! No chuds. Hardly any elephants. The One Party is firmly in power … forever. This really is paradise, and not just because of the weather (at least until the Burning floods everything). What could possibly go wrong?
Transgenderism: Our non-White majority doesn’t care about it, though the 2024 election of a trans candidate (The One Party, of course) after four defeats indicates attitudes may be changing.
Immigration: The Brown people who’ve been here for generations don’t like the NuBrown people. OMG. Where is the solidarity of color?
Race: In a state where non-Whites dominate - wheres Whites are the hated minority - where are the deprived dark people to champion?
Some Wokists larp as BFFs of Native Hawaiians, a vague category that includes anyone with any degree of indigenous ancestry. Like Princess Abigail Kawānanakoa:
But the NNNNative cause isn’t that tingly because it is backed up by the vast wealth and power of Hawaiian, Inc. A handful of Goodwhite cheerleaders are irrelevant.
Atheism: Official statistics make Hawaii look more Christian than it actually is. Circa 60% identify as Christian, but many - perhaps most - aren’t practicing. Only a quarter claim to go to church on Sunday. The key word is “claim”. So Hawaii isn’t a target-rich area for anti-Christians.
There certainly is a minority of devout Christians here, but most of them are (gasp!) non-White. Criticizing them would be Wacist.
And the non-Christian non-Whites aren’t interested in tirades against Christianity, a religion they don’t understand or care about.
Crime: Wokist outrage against the police - largely justified (really!) - goes nowhere. The police is part of our almighty government, which employs a big chunk of our population. Not even a massive scandal involving the Honolulu police chief and his prosector wife turned the masses against the police. And there are limits to what Wokists can say about the police which isn’t very White. Or should I say very chud.
Plus the homeless here are so visible that some Wokists may (shudder) want the police to do something. Some of the rabid antihomeless comments on Honolulu Pravda might be from Wokists who would never use such a tone when speaking of Godrace or Godsex (i.e., LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ).
Entertainment: I doubt Stephen Colbert had high ratings here. I doubt the average person here is very agitated by Trump 4,800 miles (7,800 km) away.
I’m not saying Hawaii is MAGA country. Trump lost three times in Hawaii. I hate Trump. I only know one Trumper here. But there is a difference between not voting for Trump - or even hating Trump like I do - and consuming story after story about Trump stand-in villains like Homelander.
I wouldn’t be able to sit through story after story about pseudo-Obamas.
Labor: Rick wrote,
The underprivileged […] will still keep wasting money on [luxuries], just watch any episode of Caleb Hammer. The fact is a lot of proles simply won’t be able to rise above their status no matter how much money you give them, granted it’s not entirely all their fault.
Wokists here can see that waste - and that fact. The romance of the oppressed crumbles in the face of people using up their paychecks on monster trucks. When I was in a poor neighborhood, I saw a huge flatscreen TV through a window … near a rent-to-own store. People come for free food in expensive new(ish) cars.
Hierarchy: Rick wrote,
Woke PMCs will deny that they believe in hierarchy
and yet when given the chance to lose themselves in all our glorious brownness … these equalists usually … don’t. Wokism itself is about hierarchy: Larping about destroying it while affirming it through luxury beliefs.
But how much fun is that affirmation when there are so few chuds to lord over? Yeah, there’s the occasional MAGA who needs to be schooled in the Honolulu Pravda comments. However, an elephant here and there isn’t like back home where knuckle-dragging troglodytes infest the streets, endangering the Dark Ones.
The Wokists dare not admit they feel … ugh … superior to the Dark Ones all around them in Hawaii. DINOs - Democrats in name only. Homophobic sexists. If not for their loyalty to The Shape (a vertical line and a curve - D), they’d just be chuds of a different color. A ‘better’ color - beautiful brown - but still …
… I don’t think it’s fun to be Woke in Hawaii. I can almost hear the author of this Hipsta Pravda article whining, “Whyyyy can’t Hawaii be like Portland?” It should be better than Portland because it’s so LoEuro it’s almost NoEuro.2 Without White supreeeemists ruining everything, this should be the Wakanda of the Pacific.
It’s not.
No one here “put[s] blacks and troons above [themselves] and worship[s] them like gods” other than Wokists.
What Rick called “gay brown utopian fantasies” collide with reality in the largely cishet3, very brown DYStopia that is Hawaii.
How a Wokist’s heart must hurt when they see their Diverse!™ dream disintegrate into dust!
And that got to a friend who gently reminded me that I wasn’t a worker. One of the best things anyone said to me. An injection of reality.
As a young child I only saw blonde and red hair in comic books and on TV. I was amazed to see freckles for the first time when I was around nine. My first memories of blue eyes in real life date from my adolescence.
Lei: The Journal for Queer Hawaiʻi did not fly off the shelves of my local supermarket last year.
Three decades earlier, the state library had free copies of a local gay and lesbian magazine. It was dominated by White gay men. The only non-Whites were men who were visual objects of desire, not contributors to the publication.
I’m not trying to imply there are no non-White LGBTQ people in Hawaii. I know there are. I knew someone in that magazine. Nonetheless, Honolulu isn’t San Francisco.
